"NICE HAT" is all about
opening an entire
world with a single object.
It is a trip into
the highs and lows of
Cambodian history
seen entirely through the
lens of Khmer
hats and headgear.
That's right -- HATS!

Dear Supporters of Out of the Poison Tree, I wanted to share with you two milestones for two of my heroes: Aki Ra and Youk Chhang.

Aki Ra, a survivor of the Cambodian Genocide who was forced to lay landmines for the Khmer Rouge as a child has opened his Landmine Relief Museum.

This has been a long-hard road for Aki Ra and was not without a few death threats from the Khmer government (no kidding). Please check out the beautiful photos of the museum opening.

Time Magazine Cover

Last week's TIME Magazine featured The 100 Most Influential People in the World which included Youk Chhang, the Director of the Documentation Center of Cambodia.

As the trial progresses we are finally seeing more press surrounding the approaching Khmer Rouge Tribunal. We are still crossing our fingers for the PBS air-date of Out of the Poison Tree. Here's hoping some of this positive press will help to that end and in turn, help make the Tribunal a reality.

We are currently seeking finishing funds.
The Documentary Association is our fiscal sponsor.
All donations for this film are tax-deductible!
Thank you!
